If you have some more time to discover capital city of Finland we can organize for you longer version of Helsinki sightseeing which includes also Suomenlinna fortress. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this sea fortress is really worth seeing as an example of military architecture. Located on few small islands is one of the biggest sea fortresses in the world. The main reason for which Swedes built it in 18th centrury was to prevent Russian domination, but the later history of Suomenlinna you will discover during your visit!
In the city centre we will show you most remarkable places as the Senate Square with magnificent Tuomiokirkko Cathedral, Market Square where you can buy extraordinary stuffs, the Presidential Palace and beautiful Uspenski Cathedral. You will also walk near the Parliament building, a huge St Nicolas Cathedral and others mayor monuments. During your tour you will stroll through main streets as Aleksanterinkatu and Mannerheimintie to see the University of Helsinki and neoclasical Cathedral with small café inside. Obviously you will not miss famous Temppeliaukio Church which is built in a rock wall. You will see also Olympic Stadium from 1952, National Ophera and Finlandia Hall. We can end up at picturesque Sibelius Park where you can enjoy the rest of the day on your own or our guide can drop you off at your hotel or another place in Helsinki choosen by you.
